Running down to the MPR mailroom in the late afternoon yesterday to get something in before the final pick-up of the day, a pile of red and white envelopes caught my eye.
They were Netflix mailers. A whole bunch of them. And it was a Tuesday.
When asked about them, Charli, who runs the mailroom with a friendly rod of iron, shrugged and said there's always some in there. Someone had asked if it was appropriate to throw them in with the company mail and she said "Go ahead! Everyone else does."
Clearly Netflix has already changed the cinematic landscape, but it takes a pile of red envelopes in an out-box to make it clear just how much.
