We are airing the interview with Farmer John Peterson, subject of "The Real Dirt on Farmer John" this evening. You can hear the piece and a longer interview on the MPR website. He will be in Minneapolis this weekend for an appearance with Nina Utne after the 7pm Saturday showing at the Crown Theatre Block E. There's then going to be an after-screening party at the Solera restaurant. Meanwhile Director Taggart Siegel will appear that same night after the screening of the movie at the Frozen River Film Festival in Winona.
One more heads up: while Eugene Jarecki's documentary critique of the military industrial complex "Why We Fight" isn't due to arrive in Minnesota for a few weeks, he will be making an appearance on the Midmorning program at 9am Monday. He'll be taking listener questions. If you can't catch it live, you can still catch the show on the Midmorning archive.
And of course don't forget Gayle Ferraro's appearance tonight after the screening of her film "Ganges: River to Heaven" at the Bell Auditorium in Minneapolis.
