It's been kind of busy at the Movie Maven Mansion (which is in actuality a pile of padded envelopes on the newsroom floor filled with DVD's VHS tapes, and a whole lot of press releases.)
Part of the reason is the upcoming Get Real Festival which launches this weekend at the Lagoon Cinema in Minneapolis. There are 30 films screening over the next week, including 19 which have never been shown here before. There are also a number of rarely screened classics, including the Prince concert film "Sign o' the Times."
Festival curator Rob Nelson came by to chat about "Get Real" and some of the themes he sees in this years events.
