When the earthquake struck last week, it shocked the people of Chile. The looting that followed was also terribly shocking according to Pastor Maurice Alvarado. He described it as a "moral quake."
Father Alvarado is a Catholic priest in Valparaiso, a city north of the earthquake's epicenter. He told In The Loop that while some of the behavior seen after the catastrophe disturbed him, all in all Chileans are acting fast to heal from the devastation.
