Welcome to the In The Loop "Member Drive" Experiment, Phase II.
Last time around, all we could offer was a bit.ly link that made us feel good (130 hits -- that was awesome) but didn't tell us much else.
This time, it's gotten somewhat more sophisticated. By clicking this link...
http://www.mpr.org/intheloopgive
...we'll actually be able to keep track of the $$$ and comments that roll in from people who want to support the show.
Your online membership sign-up or renewal won't look any different. But by entering through this link (or some others we'll post on FB and Twitter) you'll cast a vote of support for In The Loop.
To clarify: Your money doesn't go directly to the show. I won't get a bonus, and Sanden won't suddenly be able to afford that new metrosexual scarf he's had his eye on. Things just don't work that way.
It supports Minnesota Public Radio's programming and services, like any other contribution. But in this case it also says something very specific: Digital content is worth supporting. Boldness and creativity are worth supporting. Shows that speak "public radio" in new ways are worth supporting.
In The Loop is worth supporting, and doggone it, people do care about it. That goes a long way.
So click away. Any amount makes you a member, and helps us do what we do. And don't forget to leave your comments at the end of the process. That stuff sometimes gets read (gulp!) on the radio!
Sanden is going to sign and send out copies of his new homemade comic to anyone who joins through this link (and who wants one). If you want the comic, Tweet to @intheloop, leave a comment here, or post on our FB page: http://LoopFacebook.net
