Economic indicators: Cat-sitting, bad spelling, and corporate run-around

Following up on people who answered our recent question about what signs they're looking for to feel confident the recovery is underway. Among the most interesting:
* A woman who is seeing a pick-up in bookings for cat-sitting (which means people are going on vacation)
* A woman looking for worck, but not finding the write openings (sic)
* A guy who reported a lack of "serious customer commitment to production orders, forecasts, and schedules" (What???)
Sanden's out getting tape from the cat lady at the moment, but I called the second two this afternoon...
