As usual, here's an advance copy of the rockin' (um....) tune from tonight's show.
I went into the booth with a vague idea, and what emerged is something like "A Mighty Wind" tribute to the stimulus package, with a dose of double entendre.

And....listen for a special announcement about the future of ITL on tonight's show. That's all I can say for now.
What was the quote from the end of today's broadcast?
Found it:
The sage is as alert as a person crossing a winter stream;
as circumspect as a person with neighbors on all four sides;
as respectful as a thoughtful guest;
as yielding as melting ice;
as simple as uncarved wood;
as open as a valley;
as chaotic as a muddy torrent.
Why "chaotic as a muddy torrent"?
Because clarity is learned by being patient in the presence of chaos.
Tolerating disarray, remaining at rest, gradually one learns to allow muddy water
to settle and proper responses to reveal themselves.
- Lao Tza
Thanks, Mark! Yep, that's the one. (Same translation I had, even.)
I realize there might have been some confusion about whether I was referring to my own company as a "chaotic" and "muddy water." Yikes. Not what I meant.
I was thinking of the uncharted media future, the anxiety one feels about leaving a comfortable home in a place you understand and jumping into a new and unpredictable task. I needed to just chill out, step back -- and that Tao quote helped.
