Some people have too much time on their hands . . . lucky for us, those people also have flickr accounts. A group of folks well versed in the works of Gary Larson, and in photoshop, bring you . . . The Far Side Re-enactments.
Some of them are pretty funny, but for the most part, I don't think Far Side translates that well into real life. Of course, that's not true of all comic re-enactments. There is the wonderful Lasagna Cat series where one man with a wig and another in a Garfield costume recreate classic strips. I'm not sure where this drive to recreate cartoons using actual people comes from. Maybe some folks just like a challenge. Maybe we spend so much time with these characters that they seem real enough that imagining them as flesh and blood isn't much of a stretch . . . Or maybe some people just have a lot of time on their hands.
