Rahm Emanuel: Hot or Not?

The other day at our weekly brainstorming meeting, a producer friend of ours mentioned that his female friends were all a-twitter about Rahm Emanuel (Obama's new Chief of Staff).

First of all, in this time of economic malaise, it's comforting to know some of people have our priorities straight.

Still, that surprised me a little bit. I guess I don't notice such things. And I had just come from reading a Wall Street Journal interview in which the writer described Emanuel's "slight build and basset hound eyes." He's also a former ballet dancer (OK, that could work in his favor) who's missing part of a finger (not so much) which the Internet gossip mill pegs at less than five feet tall (why is this seemingly impossible to confirm?).

Evidently the swooning has begun. For instance, you can download the obnoxious pre-made graphic on the right, for your own web page or MySpace.

And it's not hard to find borderline indecent blog posts, like this one heralding "our sexy, angry, sexy, evil chief of staff designate." A writer on Gawker invokes the phrase "the cute little guy."

And someone has taken to Yahoo! Answers to pose the question "Anyone else think Rahm Emanuel is sexy?" The consensus, after 10 responses: Two snaps up.

I guess if Sarah Palin can be turned so instantly into a sex symbol, why not Rahm Emanuel? At least until Obama makes an even sexier cabinet appointment...

he's VERY hot... he's old enough to be my father, but I'm noticing a trend... I did a blog post about him (his qualifications AND his hotness) and so have a lot of my buddies... and we're between 19-23
so he scores big with the youth
