ITL "debaters" in the Strib

Posted at 7:25 PM on October 21, 2007 by Jeff Horwich

Our idea to have a couple of crack-high school debaters come in to debate "democracy" on the show caught the eye of a reporter over at the Star Tribune.

Check it out -- nice article, and a great recognition of how we're trying to explore new formats. And the reporter, Maria Elena Baca, stuck around for the entire show. Must be a good sign!

Dan and Amelia did a terrific job for us. Thanks, guys!

The show just finished airing a few minutes ago -- more serious content, and the edited show had better pacing than last week, I thought. It's a good lesson that as hard as we work to develop a consistent tone and approach from week to week, no two shows will ever feel the same! On balance, I think that's a good thing.

Reactions out there in listener-land?
