According to the site, the founder had a hypothesis that people like to sneak drinks of pickle juice from the jars in their fridge. He went out and interviewed people about it, and found that yes, indeed, many people do this disgusting thing. (I admit, I have thought about it. But I have never done it. Because it is disgusting.)
Apparently, the Philadephia Eagles also once drank pickle juice during a really hot game (and won). Ergo: Millions of ordinary people will line up replace their Gatorade with a drink that tastes like pickles.
It's not made from pickles, mind you. It is, in the tantalizing terminology of the company, a still evolving "dill brine recipe" flavored with all-natural vinegar, dill, and salt. This evidently provides oodles of essential electrolytes.
Now, if someone could only send dill brine electrolytes to space....yeah, now I'm listening....
