Behind the scenes from "In The Loop: Live at Dorothy Day"

Posted at 11:40 AM on June 21, 2007 by Jeff Horwich

Well, we weren't exactly live since the show won't be on until next weekend. But these should give you a flavor of the scene there yesterday when we taped the show. Thanks to Jeremy Pavleck for all the outstanding images.

Clockwise from top left: A perspective shot from near the top of the show; talking with poet Angelo Mack; amazing comments from the audience; singer Dusty Crum (with Jimmy Kennedy from The Smarts); Catholic Charities CEO Father John Estrem (with our buddy Andrew Haeg holding the mic); singer and blues harp player Tony Criss bringing the house down (with me on sax in the background)

As you can tell, we've got some outstanding music and other great first-person insights from the homeless community coming up on the show.

Update: Someone just sent me this article -- the candidates for mayor in Nashville all agree to spend one night homeless. Kind of relates to what we're going after with this next show.
