The Schoolhouse Rock Alumni

To follow up on Jeff's post, I found a neat bio on the folks who put together these educational anthems. You can check it out at the YesButNoButYes blog.

The team has some pretty interesting members. Like the secretary who was hired on after she wrote a song about a boyfriend called "You're Just a Phase". Or the rocker named Ezra Mohawk who use to run with Zappa and Jerry Garcia. Good stuff. And you can find out what they are up to now too.

vocab%20rock.jpgOur podcast subscribers have already heard this, but it'd be a shame if we didn't share the joy with the rest of the world.

The latest podcast got a"silly," in the words of our boss, but it really was a rare collision of intriguing material. We discussed Trump Steaks, Sanden ginned up a "Baby Got Back" spoof about needing a verbose lady-friend, and we preview some tracks from "Vocab Rock," a book and CD combo designed to help you rock out, of course, but also to get ready for the SAT or ACT.

If you need a worthy distraction, give it a listen (stream or download)
