(**Just updated this post with new audio links -- the old ones were corrupted, and shortened the show to only 10 minutes! Sorry about that.**)

With what little energy I can muster for a blog post after a long day in the studio, I give you that latest episode of "In The Loop."

Stream it or download the MP3 (128K Stereo -- download by right-clicking and saving the file)

Includes:

*New songs from myself, The Smarts, and special guest Larry Long

*Interviews with Pentagon Papers guy Daniel Ellsberg and a feisty pair of people from both sides of the protests planned for the upcoming Republican National Convention

*A story from our buddy Sanden going inside protest culture

*Some amazing stories from our live audience that we had no idea where coming.

Song downloads and specific stories will be coming soon to our main show page.

Enjoy! And check out these dudes our live producer Alan Frechtman made as a backdrop for the taping. Cool.

The presumption by your "right of center" blogger that only people of his political opinions are people who work and have a mortgage is offensive. Guess what? We left wingers also have jobs and mortgages, and pay taxes. As a "left of center" person who works for a big financial institution, in an office, wearing "corporate drag" every day, who often doesn't have the time to protest, I would like to know why he thinks that the "Bushies" are the only ones holding jobs? If the "right of center" were the only ones with mortgages, our housing market would be in much worse shape than it is now.

Dear ITL.
As an activist on many levels, I appreciated the ITL show. 'Taking a Stand.' As a person with a media background I was impressed with the depth of the coverage and the sincerity of the effort.
With the paucity of coverage and the 'slanted/biased coverage of major media to alternative politics I found your program refreshing from point of view, construction and balance. I also enjoyed the music of Larry Long and your 'house band.'
Instead of filling time slots you folks are doing it in real time and capturing the moment in a way I have not heard for quite some time.
Keep up the spirit and the content of your work. Thanks, David
