Be a carbon vacuum.
Seriously. It could make you millions of dollars. Richard Branson, the British billionaire and founder of Virgin records is offering 25 million bucks to anyone who can find a way to suck a billion tons of CO2 out of the air every year. Read the details here. Sounds like a crazy idea? Well, there have been crazier ones.
In other news, In the Loop: Getting Past Green is taping tonight. Should be a blast. The house looks like it's going to be full so I'm expecting some lively discussion. Sometimes it is hit or miss when we try to spark a conversation but with a topic like this I don't think we'll have a problem getting things going. Plus we've got some good stories lined up, a new song from both the Smarts and Jeff and a special report from our well-known pop correspondent (you'll just have to listen in to find out who I'm talking about).
See ya then. Oh, and if you end up inventing a carbon sucker and win that prize money, remember, it's still pledge week here at MPR!
