For every Ying there is a Yang. So for our upcoming show on light in the holidays, we felt the need to explore our connection to the darkness. No, not the band the darkness. But the kind of darkness that's around us all the time now. The kind of darkness that will bookend December 21st, the shortest day of the year.
We threw the idea out to our Loop Network and got some cool odes to darkness from some very talented folks. We'll share them with you as they come in. For now, here is a multi-media tribute to the dark from Stephen Mead, an artist working out of Albany, NY. You can check it out via YouTube by clicking here. It really sets the mood, don't you think?
There is also some interesting ideas being shared on our Gather site, including a meaty poem by Richard H and a Haiku from Onan. Check them out.
