First veto

Posted at 4:28 PM on April 30, 2007 by Bob Collins (2 Comments)

Gov. Pawlenty today vetoed Senate File 1017, a bill that would increase annual city Charter Commission expense limitations from $1,500 to $5,000. That gives both chambers a chance to override at 100 points a pop. There's only one author on this legislation -- Sen. Ann Rest.

Update 5:14 pm: The Gov signed four bills. HF2090 gives GOV points to Reps. Ward, Bigham, Howes and Moe, HF1490 is a solo dinger for Rep. Michael Beard. SF1098 is another solo shot -- this time for Sen. Rod Skoe who followed it up with a back-to-back shot on SF1069.

SF1017 passed overwhelmingly in both houses... any chance for a veto override?
