A new bonus point idea

Posted at 6:18 PM on April 10, 2007 by Bob Collins (1 Comments)

* Well, we have Floor Session Palooza (next year, that's big points to give it some meaning), and now I'm thinking maybe we should have bonus points next year for legislators who get interviewed on national news. Rep. Jim Davnie would have some points to tabulate today if we had that rule in effect thanks to his appearance on NPR's All Things Considered. As it is, he only get 10 points today, thanks to a couple of hearings his bills had. Possibly more, once I get the Report of Standing Committees.

* I think this is the first day of the session when I had no points to give to Rep. Frank Moe or Rep. Jim Abeler, which means other teams had a chance to creep up today; sort of like when the Yankees lose.

* The flag bill -- the Senate version -- passed a committee today. This thing might actually become law. Message to myself: Come up with new scoring category: Points for when the Supreme Court throws out a law as unconstitutional.
