Medical marijuana

Posted at 3:11 PM on March 8, 2007 by Bob Collins

Midday did a show today on the bills for medical use of marijuana. If there's a bill stuck in neutral at the Capitol. This one is it. John Marty's Senate committee on health passed the bill to the Senate Judiciary Committee on February 14, and there it has sat. But that's further along than Tom Huntley's Steve Sviggum's bill -- HF655 -- has gotten in the House . Until today. it's currently being heard in the House Health and Human Services Committee. Unfortunately, it's not televised. Too bad. That would be a more interesting hearing than what's on.

Update: It's still on life support. Today's committee heard the bill but took no action on it.
