A bill named Ralph

Posted at 9:56 AM on March 29, 2007 by Bob Collins (1 Comments)

I'm not sure how I missed this in my regular review of bills being filed, but apparently State. Rep. Patti Fritz is proposing Tilt-A-Whirl be declared the official amusement ride in Minnesota.
Here's the article in the Owatonna People's Press.

Minnesota, let me ask you, do you really want to honor something whose ultimate purpose is to make you throw up?

For the record, Patti Fritz has been authoring more than silly bills this session. She's got her name on 110 of 'em at the moment and is in the top 40 in Power Rankings.

Yes! We want to honor something Made in Minnesota since 1927. And still being made. This was the news of the day from Minnesota, as published in USA Today newspaper by Ganett.

The Owatonna article indicates the idea originated in the kindergarden class of Faribault's Jefferson Elementary.

What will 52 kindergardeners learn if the bill passes and becomes law?

And what will they learn if it fails?
