Still with us?

I've got a few folks who have inquired about picking up a "franchise" in the MFL. Of course, we froze the leagues just before the season started, but it looks to me that some teams aren't trying to adjust their squads from week to week (or ever) to maximize their points.

Nobody is required to, of course, and if you're keeping an eye on things, that's fine. But if you've got a team in the league and you're no longer following it, let me know and we'll turn it over to someone who's itching to get in on the action.

If you do not have a team and wish to be on the waiting list, please let me know ASAP at bcollins@mpr.org.

I'm thinking the league-leading Indefagitible Bill Carriers may want to ask for a new stadium next year . . . retractable roof . . . skyboxes . . .

Go Carriers!

Team MILVETS pines for the memorable MEMORIAL STADIUM, built with funds donated by many military veterans in memory of those that gave their lives during World War One.

Blessed be the memory of those generous donors whose memorial plaques were shattered by the wrecking ball c1994, when the stadium, was found 'no longer useful.'

Word. Every time I go by the Mall of Meshuggenah I find myself singing "there used to be a ballpark right here" (the Sinatra version, natch).
