We haven't done one in a few weeks. Let's make today the Floor Session Palooza Day! Bonus points for any legislator who speaks to legislation today in floor sessions.
House is underway now, watch it here.
(Update 10:56) Pretty interesting debate so far. The House is debating work schedules the rest of the way and Rep. Marty Seifert (R-Marshall) is asking to move deadlines up so that the lawmakers have more time if the governor vetoes bills, or if bills go to conference committee. He says if the deadlines are too close to the end of the session, the House will rush through bad legislation and waste money. He urged a vote against leadership, asking DFLers not to behave like sheep. "All we're hearing today is the silence of the lambs," he said.
(Update 1:34 pm) Palooza points in the House went to Seifert, Sertich, Kelliher, Howes, Severson, M.Olson, Kahn, Ozment, Haws, Welti, S. Erickson, Tingelstad, Erhardt, and Westrom. You can watch the session here.
(Update 2:21 pm) Senate Palooza points to Pogemiller, Metzen, Sieben, Tomassoni, Gerlach, Betzold, Foley, and Neuville. You can view the session here.
I need a new TV for my birthday so I can watch MN Legislature and CSPAN at the same time. Plasma would be nice.
p.s. All of you enjoying a holiday on Monday can thank me for having a holiday birthday known as President's Day.
