Omnibus bills. Worth another look?

An e-mail I got from a legislator today asked why the MFL doesn't track bills once they are folded into the omnibus bills. Most of the spending bills are going to end up in an omnibus bill, and it seems a shame to lose their value (MFL-wise).

The reason I initially decided not to track the omnibus bills (or more accurately, the bills that go into the omnibus bill) is because I often lose track of them. However, it's possible that a spreadsheet may exist... somewhere...that has the individual bill numbers that are components of each omnibus bill. In that case, it wouldn't be hard to factor those in.

I don't believe any omnibus bill has yet emerged from committee. If, indeed, I can get a list of what bills are in each omnibus bill, does any current manager have a problem with changing this rule to allow continued tracking of these bills? Obviously it means more points for everyone.

I don't have a problem with a rule change to award points for Omnibus bills if the Commish feel comfortable tracking them.
