MFL manager testifies

Posted at 4:51 PM on February 6, 2007 by Bob Collins (1 Comments)

It was nice to see Kevin Papp on the television this afternoon. Kevin, president of the MN. Farm Bureau, was testifying in support of SF76, which offers tax credits for qualifying dairy farms.

Sens. Vickerman; Kubly; Skogen; Lourey; Dille have their nameon that bill, none of whom is on Kevin's MFL team, We Try Harder.

Oh, that reminds me, Senate bills 583-638 were filed today.

and here we go...

SF595 proposes an amendment to the constitution providing for a bipartisan legislative commission. I'm not sure what the prospects for this are but legislative redistricting is always a nightmare and the last time it was accomplished here, the folks at the Capitol were unable to come up with anything so it ended up in the lap of then Chief Justice Kathleen Blatz at the state Supreme Court. Then they accidentally moved then-Rep. Mark Kennedy out of his 2nd District.

SF598 -- a bipartisan bill -- would establish limits on how much college tuition can increase.
