Caution: Nerds at play

OK, maybe it's not the headline I would've gone with, but it's clever. CBS News picks up Pat Condon's story and sticks a picture in to boot. Here.

By the way, I want to make an important distinction between Fantasy Legislature and Fantasy Congress. In Fantasy Congress, managers just picked their team, and that was their team. There was no real competition between managers because the same lawmaker could play for more than one team. Nah...... that's no fun! (g)

I understand that FC is making changes that will make it more like, ummmmm, Fantasy Legislature so that one lawmaker can only play for one team and there'll be transactions.

Not sure when they're starting though. But they'll miss the first 100 hours.

Boy, are the Bemidji Beavers having a tough week. Rep. Moe and Sen. Higgins authored over 600 bills last year... now this session a combined total of "1"! I love you both, but man you're killing me! And now to top it off, CBS news deleted the mention of the "Bemidji Beavers" from the original AP article. I'm spending the balance of today in a fish house on a Northern Minnesota lake.

Not as catchy, but the Rochester Post Bulletin went with:

Geeks turn Legislature into fantasy league
