...and so do the arrests.
Even though the protests were supposed to be over and done by 3 p.m., there was a group of about 50-100 people were detained at the corner of Jackson and Shepard at 5:30.
The Ramsey County Sheriff's Department have confirmed that there have been at least 100 arrests today.
Most of the 10,000 protesters went along the route peacefully, but there have been splinter groups that have broken off and occupied much of the police's attention.
At Shepard Road, a group of people making their way to the SEIU Labor Day Festival on Harriet Island got caught up in a confrontation between one of the splinter groups and police. MPR reporter Paul Tosto tells us that many of those detained there were later released.
