We know about the stampedes and the rudeness, the fight over that last stupid toy. But much of what happens on Black Friday is pretty...civil?
That's the conclusion of researchers at Eastern Illinois University.
"Calmness" was the trait seen by the highest percentage of observers, followed by "courteousness" and "happiness."
Happily, there was no tripping or weapons observed during the Black Friday research, although nearly one in 10 observers saw some "irritable aggression."
