MPR News editor Bill Catlin did some quick number crunching on today's employment data and found the private sector took a big hit, falling by 14,400 jobs in September compared to August.
"That's a pretty big turnaround from the strong gains of the previous four months, which averaged monthly job growth of 10,900," Catlin says.
