Off Base News: Favre Flips Tark Super Bowl Ringed Middle Finger

MISSISSIPPI - One day after Fran Tarkenton labeled Brett Favre's actions in 2008 as "despicable" during a radio interview in Atlanta, the former Packers QB hit back.
"Me, despicable?!," Favre shouted. "Losing 3 Super Bowls, now that's despicable. And none of them were even close!"
The war of words between the two NFL legends escalated when Favre challenged Tarkenton to, "Come down here and get a closer look at my Super Bowl ring", before thrusting his left middle finger - adorned with a Super Bowl XXXI championship ring - into the air.
"The only reason the Vikings want an old guy like me," the 39-year-old continued, "is because losers like (Tarkenton) couldn't take the team all of the way. Now they need me to pick up the slack."
Favre refrained from addressing any of Tarkenton's allegations specifically and said only, "I've always been an up-front guy. If Tarkenton or anyone else has something to say, they should say it to my face or shut up."
Tarkenton, who led the Vikings to 3 NFC titles during the 1970s, could not be reached for comment.

This is just really, really sad.
It's about time Brett fought back to these jerks in the media who, year after year, make their paltry living speculating on Favre's future, all the while blaming him for his so-called indecision. Even though I hail from Wisconsin and have spent my life as a Packer fan, I personally hope Favre and the Vikings kick some NFC North backside this year. Then Thompson, Rodgers, and jerks like Tarkinton can all do the middle-finger dance in unison. Go get em, Brett!
Farve is correct. Taking criticism from a 3 time loser like Tarkenton is a joke. Tarkenton even sucks at being an infomercial pitchman. This guy is pretty much an egocentric moron who is mad at the world for forgetting his mediocre limp-wristed contribution to the NFL. You suck Tarkenton, and everybody hates you!
You know, you guys should make it more clear that this is a joke. A lot of people are going to believe it, and I'm going to get about 1,000 e-mails from those who think it's true.
Can't you make it more obvious that you're making it up? Please?
