I'll keep it simple today; I am not high on the Twins this year. I think the bullpen is a mess and with Joe Mauer and Scott Baker opening the season on the DL (I don't even want to think about Justin Morneau's back), I am not getting good vibes.
I predict the Twins will finish 3rd in the AL Central with an 82-80 record. Feel free to go on record with your prediction in the comments section.....
I pick the Twins to win the divison- I'm a Detroit Tigers season ticket holder.
On the radio yesterday Jack Morris was put on the spot as to whether the Twins would win 90 games. He felt that was what would be needed to win the division so he said they would.
Personally I think they will win two more than last year as that's what will be needed to win the division: 88-74.
(Don't fret too much about Baker. Rumor is he'll be back at the earliest date he can be.)
I think they'll take the division with a 93-69 record and then go on to win the World Series. What a finish it will be for the Dome!
Unfortunately, I don't see the Twins winning the division or making the wildcard this year with too many question marks, but I think they will be competitive enough to play over .500 and finish 85-77.
I say they win 88 games, and I think that's going to be enough to win what will be a weak division.
I say the Twins will finish 89-73 this year, but thats going to good enough to win the Central. None of the the other teams are particularly good, and our bullpen woes are going to end sooner or later, either through call-ups or trades or both. Not to mention getting Mauer and Baker back soon is going to jump start the batting and the pitching rotation.
