According to Baseball Almanac, there have been more than 350 brother combinations to play in the majors and there are plenty of Hall of Famers on that list. However, the only brothers who are both in Cooperstown are Lloyd Waner and Paul Waner.
I've seen a many of the modern brothers (the Boones, Cansecos, Giambis, Gwynns, and Ripkens to name a few), but am struggling to think of the best brother combination of the modern era.
Phil and Joe Neikro come to mind for me. They combined to pitch for 46 seasons, winning more than 500 games. Although the Alomars (Roberto and Sandy) were the best at their positions for more than a decade.
What do you think? Which brothers made biggest impact on the game?
