I'm sure you've seen the stories regarding Lou Pinella's tirade over the weekend. I prefer the lower level bush league outbursts like the minor league manager who just got suspended for making home plate look bigger, throwing third base into the outfield and for pretending the resin bag was a grenade. You can watch the video here.
So here's a question for you -- Why in the heck do these grown men act like this? In no other job (sans boxing, entertainment or professional wrestling) can someone get away with this. Is there something about the onfield play that just gets to these guys like Rick Morrissey writes? Do they think it helps ignite the team? Do they need anger management classes? Any answers?
