David's post about Guzman got me thinking about some other ex-Twins, and how they're faring.
1. Kyle Lohse: I actually thought Kyle would benefit from both a change of scenery and pitching in the National League. But that doesn't seem to be the case, as his 2-7 record and 4.58 era proves. I wonder if he blames his outfielders in Cincinnati, too.
2. Jacque Jones: There were some suggestions earlier in the season that the Twins should consider bringing back Jacque, since he appeared to be getting squeezed out of a crowded outfield in Chicago. Perhaps not, unless a bag of balls is going back in return, and the Cubs pay most of his salary. His .238/2/18 numbers aren't going to solve our offensive problems.
3. Doug Mientkiewicz. Poor Doug. After getting whacked by Mike Lowell on saturday, Doug is now on the disabled list with a concussion, a cervical sprain, and a broken bone in his wrist. And before the incident, he was playing as if he had all those ailments. I think Doug's on his last legs. Here's hoping that he got some money from the Red Sox for that World Series ball.
