Your reigning AL MVP has signed to the Twins for a one-year, $4.5 million deal. Not only that but the Twins signed Punto, Rincon, and Lewww. Now that they've got their #5 hitter in the books, time to get the two remaining arbitration-eligible guys: the #3 and #4 hitters. Given Morneau probably had much more leverage given he's the league MVP, the chances look good that Mauer and Cuddyer will sign, even though they all probably know they deserve much more. Maybe the TwinsFest love softened them up a bit?
