Hummin' Slowed by Strummin'
Joel Zumaya missed three games during the ALCS due to an arm injury that the Tigers trainers couldn't figure out. In a recent radio interview with Tigers president Dave Dombrowski, it was said that the Tigers staff noticed that Zumaya's forearm pain was more consistent with the action of a guitar player than a baseball pitcher.
Turns out Zumaya liked to play Guitar Hero on his Playstation, and it was giving him some sort of "guitar elbow". They told him to stop playing the video game, and he came back in the World Series and was pain-free, going 0-1 with a 3.00 ERA.
