Since it’s been awhile and since our favorite team was shut out by a teenager last night, I thought this would be a good time for us to catch up with our old buddy Corky Miller.
In case you haven’t noticed (and who could blame you for that), the Cork man is still toiling away in Rochester. While his batting average sits at a meager .220, Miller has drawn 22 walks in 46 games and possesses an impressive .380 on-base-percentage. The Corkster is no easy out, in the International League anyway.
Then there’s his power. In 132 ABs, our favorite reserve catcher has 8 homers and 6 doubles and is slugging at a .447 clip.
