Oh, heck, let's keep the Bret Boone watch going; it's generated more interest than anything else this year.
The prevailing wisdom on the Boone trade was : it can't hurt. But, if you hit .125/.166/.125, chances are that's going to....ummm... hurt.
Aaron Boone in July is hitting .311/.319/.444
Bret Boone in July is batting .100
Hmmmm, Cleveland's falling out of the race right on schedule. Wouldn't Aaron Boone solve the thirdbase problem.
And I hear he's a great clubhouse guy, which apparently is much more important than actually being a good player.
I'm with you. Since when did playing nice in the sandbox become more important than producing between the white lines?
wow...did cleveland get trounced or what? seriously, one season ending series if i ever saw one...and twins we're a close second. if it started today, i would love to see a playoff series between the chi-sox & angels de anaheim. and the boones double play combination would be fierce...hitting into them that is.
Right now, looks like there's only two teams in the league. ChiSox and Anaheim. Although the Yankees have awakened right on schedule.
Everybody else is chum.
agreed. would be a great playoff series to watch. just bad it's 70+ games away.
