Note: If you are still mourning the official end of the Luis Rivas era, you should probably quit reading and seek help.
After listening to the “voice of the Vikings” and the Strib’s senior Twins beat writer on a radio station that is far inferior to MPR, especially the classical music station, it looks like J. C. Romero will be the next Twin to go.
Let’s kick the Twins while they’re down – who else would you like to see jettisoned?
Is Romero really doing that bad? Anyone have any data? I've heard things, but don't know what to look at besides his 2.31 ERA, 1.49 WHIP and .221 BA, which are all quite decent if you ask me...
I nominate Scotty Ullger. Then, perhaps Ron Gardenhire.
Yes, Scotty Ulger needs to go. But then again, except for Hall of Famer Paul Molitor, I can't ever recall the Twins letting a coach go in my lifetime. Who needs a guy like Molitor anyway? Not this offensive powerhouse. Then Gardenhire can leave. For once, I'd like to see the guy get angry about how bad his team is. After that, dump Torii Hunter. Then we'll have a ball club.
hey, hey, ho, ho...scottie got to go...hey, hey..ho, ho..one, two, three, four, just like we did to molitor.
I nominate Ron Gardenhire. The new manager can fire Scott Ullger.
Romero is a hell of a pitcher; especially if there's no pressure to do well. Minnesota is a perfect place for the guy. Seriously, can you imagine Romero in Boston. They'd find him in the Ted Williams Tunnel, curled up in the fetal position within days.
Look at Romeros inherited runners scored. He is terrible with men on base
