Leitheiser is development strategy and special projects manager with MPR I APM. He joined the organization in 2009 as a development officer in Institutional Giving, where he was charged with soliciting and managing private foundation, corporate and government grants for the Public Insight Network, the American RadioWorks documentary unit, and Minnesota Public Radio's Arts and Cultural Heritage Fund grant from the Minnesota Legacy Amendment. Prior to joining MPR, Leitheiser was annual fund and communications manager with Way to Grow, Inc. and worked on the 2004 presidential campaign in Iowa. He holds a bachelor's degree in political science from Iowa State University and spent a semester studying abroad at the University of Swansea, Wales. Leitheiser is also chair of the MPR | APM Inclusion Council.
