A tractor-trailer fatally struck a pedestrian on the 5500 block of Lexington Avenue in Shoreview Tuesday afternoon.

The Ramsey County Sheriff's Office isn't releasing the name of the adult man who was killed until his family is notified.

Public information officer Randy Gustafson said the truck was traveling north on Lexington Avenue when it hit the man, who died at the scene.

The sheriff's office and the Minnesota State Patrol are investigating the crash, which occurred just before 1 p.m.

Law enforcement closed Lexington Avenue between County Road I and County Road J for about two hours after the incident.
