Rock the Garden 2011

Thanks to everyone who helped to make Rock the Garden 2011 a huge success. 89.3 The Current and The Walker Art Center would especially like to thank Tapes 'n Tapes, Booker T. Jones, Neko Case and My Morning Jacket for giving us great music and fantastic reason to brave the rain on Saturday, June 18, 2011. Also, for a look at the event through a foodie's eyes, check out Heavy Table photographer Natalie Champa Jennings' excellent Rock the Garden gallery.

  • My Morning Jacket

My Morning Jacket live at Rock the Garden

Rock the Garden headliners My Morning Jacket are one of the last decade's greatest indie rock acts, and we were thrilled to have them perform. The band brushed aside the bad weather and delivered a blistering set of their trademark psychedelic indie-Americana.
  • Neko Case

    Neko Case Setlist and Slideshow

Neko Case is perhaps the best-known and most adored member of the Canadian indie supergroup the New Pornographers. When that band played Rock the Garden in 2008, Neko couldn't make it, so her appearance at this year's show marks a homecoming of sorts. View Setlist and Slideshow.
  • Booker T.

    Booker T. Setlist and Audio

Booker T. Jones is a bona fide legend. He brought the crowd to its feet and helped break Rock the Garden's rain clouds with his deep, soulful groove. Listen to his performance.
  • Tapes 'n Tapes

Tapes 'n Tapes Setlist and Audio

Minnesota band Tapes n' Tapes had the opening slot at Rock the Garden 2011. Even though it was still raining outside, the band rallied a strong showing of enthusiastic fans. Listen to their performance.
