Celebrate National Night Out!

|
It's summer, meaning it's also block party season in Minnesota. What better reason to have a block party than National Night Out, a chance to strengthen your community, meet your neighbors, and have a good time doing it. Whether it's as small as a backyard BBQ or as large as a neighborhood street fest, The Current is providing the soundtrack to your summer night.

We want to make it as easy for you to set up your block party! Click the link below to get your 89.3 The Current invites. You'll be able to give your neighbors a heads up and let them know where the party's going to be on August 1, 2006 and help spread the word about National Night Out.

To help you host a fabulous block party, BBQ or street dance, The Current is providing you with the tunes and the treats. If you missed your chance to pick up our recipes from participating Lunds and Byerly's, don't sweat it. You can download them here (requires Adobe Acrobat). From beginners to pros, there's a recipe in here that anyone can follow.
Then, on Tuesday, August 1, 2006 tune into the Current from 6 - 9 p.m. as Mary Lucia and Mark Wheat play songs that are perfect for a summer party. We'll also feature call-ins from some of the area NNO events as well as special features and interviews. And, if you live in Downtown St. Paul, join The Current at Mears Park for the official Downtown National Night Out block party, hosted by CapitolRiver Council. Food, neighbors, community organizations and music. Strengthen your community by getting to know it. ![]()
