The Current presents a free day of family-friendly music and activities at the newly remodeled Children's Theatre in Minneapolis, creating an afternoon for parents and children to share music in a meaningful way.
The Current DJs Mary Lucia, Steve Seel, Mark Wheat and Dale Connelly and Jim Ed Poole will read their favorite children's stories and spin tunes in the child-proof disco. Hands-on activities include making a musical instrument, trying your hand at spinning records, and hearing yourself "on the radio".
MacPhail Center for Music will provide live music and their dance-along program from Toddler Tuesdays. The Citizens League will provide parenting seminars throughout the day, and the United Way and their partners will have information on ways to be involved in your community and also how to support kids in crisis.
