CONTEST OFFICIAL RULES



NO CONTRIBUTION OR PURCHASE IS NECESSARY - MAKING A CONTRIBUTION WILL NOT INCREASE YOUR CHANCES OF WINNING THIS CONTEST

HOW TO ENTER THE ABOVE CONTEST: No contribution or purchase is necessary. Enter online between 2:00 p.m. CT Tuesday October 20, 2009 and 11:59 p.m. CT Tuesday October 27, 2009. Limit one (1) entry per person. Multiple entries, if discovered, will be disqualified. By participating you give MPR the rights to the photographs. MPR reserves the right to reuse or republish your submission, or to withhold it from publication. Images may appear on MPR Web sites, social media sites, or filed for future use. There is no direct paid or unpaid compensation for photos. You (full name) or your pet may be identified in a credited byline on any published photos.

ELIGIBILITY: Anyone 13 or over can enter the contest except persons who on or after February 15, 2008, were or are employees of Minnesota Public Radio or its related organizations, including American Public Media, their immediate family, or persons living in the same household. The contest is open to any United States resident age 13 or older. Void where prohibited by law.

PRIZES: A CD Pack containing: Music from the North Country - A Jayhawks Anthology (Autographed), Beastie Boys - Ill Communication (remastered edition), Monster of Folk - Self Titled, and The Noisettes - Wild Young Hearts (Total Value: $65)

Winner is responsible for any and all costs associated with using the prize, including but not limited to transportation. Prizes are nontransferable, are not good for cash, and cannot be exchanged for other MPR merchandise. Winners will receive delivery of the prize as arranged by MPR, and winners will be notified by e-mail or phone.

SELECTION AND NOTIFICATION OF WINNER: Every eligible entry will be included in the contest. Winner will be selected by The Current's Mary Lucia. Criteria may include originality, humor, and animal comfort. On Wednesday October 28, 2009 the third place winner will be announced on The Current Web site. On Thursday October 29, 2009, the second place winner will be announced on The Current Web site. On Friday October 30, 2009, the first place winner will be announced on The Current Web site

If Minnesota Public Radio is unable to reach a winner or a winner is unable to accept the prize by 5:00 p.m. CT on Tuesday November 3, 2009, then that unawarded prize will go to the first available back up selection thereof until the prize is awarded. The rules detailing contest eligibility and method of selecting winners are on file at Minnesota Public Radio. The chances of winning are dependent upon the number of eligible entries.

GENERAL: By participating in this Contest, participants agree to be bound by the Official Rules and that Minnesota Public Radio and related organizations, their agents and employees have no liability whatsoever for any injuries, losses, or damages of any kind which result from use of the prize, or by participation in the contest. Minnesota Public Radio or its related organizations may use winner's name and likeness for advertising, fundraising, promotional or publicity purposes without further compensation. Expenses as a result of winning this prize are the responsibility of the winner.

RESTRICTIONS: By participating in The Current Critter Costume Contest, a participant agrees to be bound by these Official Rules, and by all decisions of the contest sponsor.
