Artistic Statement

I enjoy composition, frankly, because it gives me the ultimate ability to "zoom out" per se, and transcend the instrumental thresholds and perspectives given to me by the guitar and bass, my primary instruments. Composition allows me to creative musically conducive compositional weaves, and, to me, is the artistic equivalent of building sky scraping structures. Forging classically oriented pieces within the confines of Sibelius notation provides me with increased theoretical and musical techniques, upon which I can apply to my primary instrument, and my general songwriting capabilities. Seeing and composing music in a traditional sense has been one of the greatest advancements in my voice as a musician, and I am excited to see where it brings me in the future.
