If you can't attend Wits™ at the Fitzgerald Theater, do the next best thing and invite your friends over for a Wits™ video streaming party.
We use a 16 oz cup (keg cup sized)
Fill cup with ice
Add a 5 count pour of 2 Gingers Whiskey (2 oz)
Mix with Ginger Ale
Garnish with a lemon and lime wedge
We'll get you most of the way there. Before each show, we'll have a little something on our site (mpr.org/wits) with all the necessary info - who's on the show, why they're awesome and when it all happens. You can provide the where and send those invites on their way. You can also find The Fitzgerald Theater on Facebook and share our event with your friends.
Before, during and after the show - take pictures and post them on Twitter. Let the world see you having a great time.
We're all talking about the show on Twitter - people in the audience, guests on the stage, you guys from afar. Just use #wits to join the conversation.
For the love of God, stand up and sing along with us at the end of the show. Join elbows, sway. You can find key lyrics via Twitter during the show.
* An Internet connection, preferably speedy like Cable or DSL.* You can also stream our video through all of the newer Blue-ray players with internet browsing capability directly to your TV.
* A laptop or computer that can handle streaming video. If you're especially tech savvy, you can hook it up to a television screen or a large monitor. Check your owner's manuals or try online instructions, like those at hookpctotv.com.
* A computer connected to a projector and a display that is 4'x5' or smaller.
* Adequate speakers for the room and expected party size.
* Time to double check your display: Try our of our video as a sample on LiveStream. Video settings may vary, but this will give you an idea of how streaming works on your display.
