State of the Arts for November 19, 2004
We talk about the health of arts journalism and meet the Sisters of Swing and Crew Jones.
Arts Journalism
A recent report by the National Arts Journalism Program at Columbia University finds more people are attending cultural events than ever before in American history. But the study also finds arts coverage by the media remains stagnant or in some places on the decline. We check in with MPR arts editor Euan Kerr and Claude Peck, fine arts editor for the Star Tribune.

Sisters of Swing
The popular Sisters of Swing are back at the Great American History Theater with a holiday show. We'll hear some of the music and talk director Ron Peluso.

Crew Jones
What do you rap about if you are a Duluth hip-hopper? Swimming, snowstorms and watching ships pull into the harbor. Chris Julin introduces us to Crew Jones.
