Lawrence Lessig on money and politics
The author of "Republic, Lost" says President Obama promised to change the way Washington works, and he did not. Lawrence Lessig says the founders never imagined our representative democracy would evolve to a point where we have two elections: a "money" election and a "voters" election. In a republic, he says campaigns need to be dependent on the people, not the funders.12:00 p.m.
