Thomas Gouttierre: Dean of international studies and programs and director of the Center for Afghanistan Studies at the University of Nebraska-Omaha. He lived and worked in Afghanistan for nearly ten years, and also served as a senior political advisor for the U.N. peacekeeping mission to Afghanistan from 1996-1997.
Larry Goodson: Chair of the national security department at the U.S. Army War College in Carlisle, Pennsylvania. He is also author of "Afghanistan's Endless War: State Failure, Regional Politics and the Rise of the Taliban."
