State looks at alternative ways to evaluate schools
A recent report from the Center on Education Policy found that almost half the nation's public schools failed to make adequate yearly progress under the federal No Child Left Behind Act. Minnesota, along with 11 other states, has asked for a waiver allowing it to establish alternative evaluation standards.
